Volkswagen | Press Conference

United Visions developed and produced the complete graphics and film package for the Volkswagen press conference at the 82nd International Motor Show in Geneva. The tradeshow in Switzerland had more than 702,000 visitors, 11,680 of which were journalists from over 80 countries. Volkswagen celebrated three world premieres in Geneva: the Golf GTI Cabriolet, the Polo Blue GT and the four-door up!.


The press conference got underway with a countdown: a combination of facts and figures and historical sites in Switzerland. The absolute highlight was, however, the entrance of the three vehicles celebrating their world premieres, each of which was introduced with a reveal film. The kick-off film showcasing the Golf GTI Cabrio was a collage of retrospectives on the successful history of GTI and current images of the summer convertible mood. For the Polo Blue GTI, United Visions produced a 3D graphics film tailored to the choreography of a skater group. The four-door up! also drove on stage accompanied by a graphics and a live dance performance.


The complete graphics and film package was produced in two formats. The content was made available in a special format (2880 x 891 pixel) for presentation on the trapezoidal LED screen. The audiovisual content was also made available in the standard format 16:9 for the live broadcast of the event.
