“Dahinter steckt immer ein kluger Kopf” (“Always a clever mind behind it”) – Since 1995, this F.A.Z. photo series has taken on major social themes and events and has long since become a classic. Over 75 exceptional personalities drawn from a variety of fields have had their pictures taken for the F.A.Z. – always behind the open newspaper.

United Visions produced the making-of this classic series.

The most famous smoker in the German federal republic sits shrouded in a cloud of smoke and engrossed in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. The new motif of the “Smart Minds” campaign showcases these two great passions of the former German Chancellor: smoking and reading the newspaper.
